Description: At the outset of the first century A.D. on the island of Britain, two major powers meet for the first time. The once-mighty Roman Empire finds itself outmatched by a mysterious new rival. In the year 122, to save his pride, Emperor Hadrian builds a 73-mile wall stretching across the entire landmass of Britain. Now, over a century later, the Roman Empire is on the decline, and a new superpower looms on the horizon. With the beginning of Emperor Commodus' reign, a new generation of Romans are influenced by fantastic legends from the mysterious north. During this time, in the Roman-occupied lands of the south, two foreign men of Anglo-Saxon descent arrive, yet they are far more than they appear. The two visitors quickly find favor with the Welsh villagers, with one even daring to love a young widow. However, the hope for lasting peace begins to crumble when two Temple Knights appear and share a prophecy of a great shadow that will soon cover the land. Though they bring a message of hope, the two foreign men lack the faith required, yet they begin to witness the prophecy unfold before their very eyes as a new and dark emperor threatens to rise in power.
